EU Projects - IPA Projects
EU Projects
EU Projects are the results of implementing European Commission’s
policies and
programs in terms of practical actions. They have been carried out in the
member states as well as in the
candidate countries and
potential candidates. They are funded from the budget of the European Union.
The lion’s share of money for funding the projects in member states is allocated in the
structural funds and
cohesion fund.
IPA Projects
IPA projects have been EU funded under the
Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) since 2007. Pre-accession financial aid has been delivered to both candidate countries (Croatia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey) and potential candidates (all the other Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia as well as Kosovo under UN Security Council Resolution 1244/99).
Iceland submitted an application for membership on 23 July 2009 and is shown in separate window;
